This project was to design a senior citizens center for the elderly in Palmer, Alaska. The project began in 2007 when I started my summer internship with Architects Alaska, Inc. I worked on the project every summer and helped complete the final construction documents in July, 2010. The building is a recreation center to service the Chugach Estates Senior Housing, also designed by Architects Alaska. The design incorporates exercise areas, a large dining room, kitchen, recreation areas, administration, and leasable space. This project was scheduled for completion in 2011.
